This forum is full of great info and wanted to contribute if I could. This is probably way old news but I found I simple way to change the bulbs on the passenger's side WITHOUT having to remove the bumper or headlamp. Just three bolts under the under and you've got plenty of room to changes bulbs. See the three colored arrows in the picture. After removing the the two bolts holding the reservoir you can easy just move the reservoir to the side. The hoses are very long and if your engine isn't warm you can set it on top. The bolt furthest to the from of the car also gives you extra room to work since it too is flexible. Hope this helps anyone of you on further projects.
I am assuming you were replacing the HID bulbs. Which replacement bulbs did you get? I learned the hard way that the cheap bulbs barely last 6 months. I finally installed the Philips D4R Xenon last week. Hopefully they will last a lot longer.
I went with Morimoto elite HID kit. Digging the output! 5500/5000 bulb/ballast with 3 year warranty on these so thats nice to have.
Can you post a few pics of your install? I want to know where you bolted the ballasts in and what you used. Is the install just like: Remove headlight bulb Attach existing headlight bulb connector to the Morimoto ballast connector Attach wire from ballast (with bulb) into headlight bulb connector? Bolt ballast somewhere Or is there another step, like running a separate power lead from the fuse box?
