So I went to start the car (2013 C3) and it wouldn't start. The batter was horribly dead (dim screen and would only go into POWER ON mode.) I charged the battery for like a half hour using a plug in charger using the hood terminals. When I tried to turn it on later, The only thing that came on was the check engine light (really dim) so it's not charged up enough yet obviously. The issue is now it won't turn off. That check engine light is still there. No other screens are on and the vehicle doesn't make any other noises (door ajar, etc.) What suggestions do you guys have besides letting the batter charge longer?
It's best to charge the battery at the battery terminals. The battery would need to charge over night using 4 amps to get a full charge.
It's charged back up. The car doesn't go into READY mode. All the lights on the board are lit up. It takes hitting the start button a number of times before the car actually shuts down. When hitting the brakes to shut it off, the screen blinks off and on as if the car was turning back on again. I think that's about it.
It was the battery. Charged it up decent enough and started up. Just make sure it's charged all the way. It doesn't like half-assed charges apparently. :T
