Do we have anything like this for the gen 4 compiled? I found the below post very informative, not sure if any of it applies to the gen 4 though. Has anyone compiled a list of must-know info... | PriusChat
I think you just started the thread! The first thing that comes to mind for me, is know your spare tire status: USA 2016 2 eco, 4, 4 Touring no spare tire in the car USA 2016 2, 3, 3 Touring have small spare tire (and level floor) (corrected)
The first thing that comes to mind for me, is know your spare tire status: USA 2016 2 eco, 3 Touring, 4 Touring no spare in the car USA 2016 2,3,4 have small spare tire (and level floor) I believe you have misrepresented the USA spare tire status. 2 eco, 4 and 4 Touring have no spare tire (tire repair kit instead) 2, 3 and 3 Touring have donut spare Hoping to test drive a 4 with ATP today - if it hasn't sold by the time I get to the dealer!
And it's already sold, so I can't test drive it I may wait... Honda just announced that the 2017 Accord Hybrid will be available this spring - it does look pretty!
again? it gets tiring after awhile. i wouldn't buy an accord hybrid until honda finally has one up and running efficiently, effectively and reliably for 5 years.
If you have auto lights and set the auto high beam switch on, you have to push the high beam lever forward to high beam. A problem can arise if you have been using the park assist and accidently pushed the auto high beam switch off (it is next to the park assist button), the lights will come on with high beams when it gets dark (cos the lever is pushed forward) thus blinding oncoming traffic.
Same. I'd buy a Prius over an Accord Hybrid any day even if the Prius didn't drive as well. I can't stand buying an unpopular car because I'm afraid they'll discontinue the car.
I will probably go Prius also. Love my banged-up 2009. It's just frustrating that I can't even test drive a 3 or 4 before it's sold! We have a lot of 2s & 2Ecos on the lots near here, but nothing higher. I do live in a rather sparsely populated area, which explains this dearth, but I would like to test drive & buy while the 0% financing offer is running.
They all drive similarly. The base two has a cheaper battery, so the electric power might not be as strong. The only ones that drive noticeably different are the 3 touring and 4 touring. The two eco is a great deal because it's only a little more money (from the base two) for much more MPGs. When you test drive, be sure to put the car into power mode. The power is unbelievable. It doesn't compare to the 2nd gen.
I really want to test one with ATP to decide if I like the HUD. I know I want heated seats, so 4 or 4 Touring are my only choices.
I have the 4 with ATP and PCP. The 4 touring doesn't give you the HUD. The HUD is SO COOL. It tells you the speed limit, your speed, the eco gauge, and navigation directions. It's a great alternative to the dashboard speedometer because its placed in the middle of the car and is sort of hard to look at. Overall, you get so much for the price. Use the Costco Buyers Program to save a couple thousand off MSRP.
I am definitely leaning toward the 4 with at least ATP. I currently have a 2009 Touring, and I would prefer the smaller, less expensive, more readily available tires this go-round. Wish I had Costco here
The Four with ATP is the highest you can get. The ATP package is the only package you can get on the Four. It adds the PCP package, too.
And you can turn off the main source of illumination and leave on only the hud, so dark console with (hud) mph, I rather like it.
Indeed. Was driving the Mrs Prius 4 which also has PCP and ATP. HUD was nice, but I did notice when HUD is turned off, a reflection of the HUD opening appears on the windscreen when the sun is out. For someone who was never attracted nor found the Prius interesting I sure have changed my stance on this vehicle. The attention to detail and quality of materials used, is very good. Meeting if not exceeding entry level lux sedans. Oh, and it's got good MPG, nice " bonus" there. LG-H901 ?
