does anyone know off the top of their heads how wide and how tall the opening of the hatch area is? my father needs to move a dresser and he's thinking of renting a u-haul. but i wonder if we can save the money by waiting till the prius comes and moving it then. i can't find stats like this anywhere so if anyone has measured this opening at some point i would greatly appreciate the info. thanks!
Starla: I don't know the exact height in inches, but it's not a lot. The cargo area is long, but not very high towards the back end of the car, and I think you'd have a hard time getting a full size dresser into the trunk...unless you did it on a sunny with the hatch tied down but not fully closed. I used to have a hatchback years ago and did this quite often. Bob
