In this morning's news articles, I noticed about a dozen articles titled Lexus seeks fix for software glitch in navigation system The articles state that this problem was related to a recent 'over-the-air' update of the navigation system. Is this error or some future update likely to disable our Prius nav systems as well?
For better or worse, that feature is not available on any Prius. "Updates may be available at your dealer at additional cost." No one gets the annual update as the cost exceeds buying a Garmin with lifetime updates. Entune on your phone has up dates over the air.
Thanks for your reply. It appears that the problem is related to the Lexus Enform system which is somewhat different than the Prius Entune system. Other than that, I know very little about the similarities and differences of these two systems.
