Has anyone done this or heard of it? It was so popular with gen 2...i can only imagine that batteries these days could yield 15 miles ev due to density... Is this possible to upgrade and or replace the batteries?
There never was much development for the Gen1. The Gen2 is better suited for this type of conversion. Even so, it is quite costly. It'd be cheaper to just buy a used Nissan Leaf.
If there was PiP development to increase battery (or replace battery) capacity - similar to our phones...and it costs between $5,000-$7,000 - people might do it while avoiding the cost of a $30k car after incentives..
