THe P, S and hybrid battery lights went on when it stalled. CAr was fine until left in garage for 2 months. PUt in new 12 volt battery but still unreliable. It is at the Toyota dealer now who said, after 3 days, that it needs a "special charge" from machine to be provided by Toyota next week.
If the engine is stalling, it is highly unlikely it is caused by the hybrid battery. More likely it is fuel or spark related. Engine stalling can be caused by a variety of fuel issues including: bad tank of gas fuel pump issues clog in the fuel line sticking throttle plate or spark related: spark plugs need to be replaced spark plug wires are bad coil(s) are defective timing is off Other causes might include engine control computer
in that case, your hybrid battery did die. it may be on it's last legs, if it can't sit for 2 months.
