I thought the One model was only sold to fleets, but I see quite a few for sale with a CarFax indicating one private owner. What gives? Because the One doesn't seem to be shown in brochures, does anyone know what it's missing from the Two?
Occasionally we've seen the fleet vehicles get sold. Here's the link to the Prius Team's post on the Prius I Prius I, and Other News | PriusChat
Interesting, but that post is so old that it may be referring to 2nd-gen cars. One of the things I want is cruise, and that post suggests that a One does not have cruise, but the 3rd gen Ones I see for sale all have cruise.
@PriusNeckBeard apparently has a 2013 "one". I found this, has some info: Toyota Prius’s confusing Trim levels I, II, III, IV and V | Diminished Value Car Appraisal
What? 2nd gen ran from 2004-2009 MY (Sep 2003-Apr 2009). Gen 3 was launched May 2009. That post is from Sept 2009 when they added USB/iPod connectivity and Safety Connect. Lastly, I pointed you to a reliable source - Toyota themselves!! And yeah of course they all have cruise control because the publicly available Prii have CC starting with level II/Two. It's possible they added CC at the dealership or the ads are incorrect. But it's up to you. I pointed you to the best information I could find.
It was posted to a Gen3 forum, more than 4 months after Gen3 sales started, and 3 months after I had my first Gen3. So, no, it is not referring to 2nd-gen cars.
