Hello, been experiencing this metal "springy" sound on my brake pedal when I press on the brakes a little on the hard side. Just recently, when I shut the car off and stay in the car for a good minute or two, even not pressing on the brakes, it makes like was vacuum pressure was released together with the metal springy sound. Brake accumulator recall is done 10k miles ago, front brake pads done 5k miles ago. what could this be?
The car does normally go through a little brake self test a couple minutes after shutting down ... makes some clicks and squirty noises. Without a recording, I'm not sure what you're calling a "springy" noise, but if the accumulator recall's been done, it's not likely the accumulator.... -Chap
i should have said 'sometimes'. i'm not sure what causes it, but keep in mind the brake pedal is electronic, not physical.
