I don't know about that (the keep your car forever part). You obviously learned some hard lessons before, and you didn't let them get you this time. This is how you get better at this stuff. I think next time you will be able to sniff out a better deal, plus you just proved that you are willing to walk away. I would just wait for the right vehicle to come along. Maybe a hybrid RAV4 or if they ever bring the e-four Prius here? Also, I don't think I'd go back to that dealership if there were options (sometimes there aren't)
