Rust and discoloration in the back seat

    We have a 2011 Prius and noticed a discoloration to the backseat behind the driver. When I opened the backseat, I noticed corrosion and rust therefore staining the backseat.

    Has anyone else experienced this as well?

    not me (and i live in very humid climate).
    was this a flood car?

    No sunroof. It's just strange to have rust and discoloration on one side of the car. I wonder if the window seals is bad.

    been raining much? could someone have left a window cracked? or maybe something got spilt.

    Yeah a photo would at least be interesting, even if it doesn't lead to any better answer.

    Also, did you buy this vehicle used?

    Have heard horror stories of people buying used vehicles that were in floods and discovering problems later.

    That would probably be worst case scenario.
