Have been driving my Prius for a week or so.., below are the techniques that i.am trying to apply to achieve better fuel consumption.. 1. Pulse and glide under ~70 km/hr 2. Stay on sweet spot range if over 70km/hr in highway. 3. Reduce depression at anytime on the gas pedal. 4. Run the car with pure electricity from rest. So far, i have got this. 21.9km/L. Can someone tell me if this is a good number? Thanks! Posted via the PriusChat mobile app.
I did it after 1 week practice! Look at my dash board and the fuel consumption! Gotta thanks to you guys here,.and specially on the link before. This guy guves a very clear instruction... You gotta check this video out by clicking this link Posted via the PriusChat mobile app.
The shorter distances are always a less reliable, so just commenting on the first numbers: 21.9 km/l achieved over 323.2 km's, that's equivalent to 51.5 mpg (US gallons), or 4.6 liters/100 km (Canadian metric). Good numbers! I've found the display to be about 7.5% optimistic, so calculated would likely be around: 20.4 km/l, 47.9 mpg (US) or 4.9 liters/100 km.
