Sorry, I'm sure this is has been discussed all too much. I don't seem to be able to come up with a best solution to my 2008 HID bulbs burning out. 1.replace hid system with aftermarket hid system 2. convert to stock halogen 3. just keep buying bulbs. What have most people done? Any recommendations or links to solutions are appreciated. Thanks and Happy Thanksgiving. Jim
What bulbs are you using? How long are they lasting? Maybe bulbs you’re buying are bad quality. Maybe there’s a fault in some other part. HID bulbs normally last atleast 5 times longer than halogen bulbs.
How frequently have you had to replace the HID bulbs? I have 226K miles on the 2004 and the HID bulbs are still original equipment. Of course I use the lights only in the evening. If you happen to be a driver who feels it is necessary to have the lights on during daylight as well, then you will have to expect to replace the bulbs more frequently.
I really don't know how many miles, I just got the car and 1 light goes out some time after turning them on. I thought there were problems with the stock HID in these cars but maybe I am incorrect and should just buy a bulb. If that is the case, please recommend a bulb.
I had just thought this was a problem issue for these cars. I actually just got the car and the light goes out while driving. I just didn't want to get into a situation where I have to spend way too much money on these lights. If you think they are probably fine then point me in the right direction to get a good quality bulb.
