Custom startup screen prius prime

Did you get your prime to show the image at startup? Also, is yours the big screen model?

Has anyone figured out how to update the Prius Prime's (Premium/Advanced models) startup image and display off image?

 

What do you mean by "update?" Update to what?

Also, you can turn the startup screen and music off. It is in the settings.

 

Someone said they used a flash drive to get the startup image changed. If the flash drive doesn't work, you may need to format it and try again or use another one.

Has anyone tried this on their Prime successfully?

Also, if they have, does anyone know the aspect ratio of the startup/shutdown screen image ?

@yoyoman - thanks, you wouldn't happen to know what the aspect ratio of the picture was ? How well did your pic fit in the startup screen?

Has anyone got the start and stop images to work with the 11.6 inch screen in the advanced package to work. the software for the small screen is totally different and has a different manual. The tall screen has the online manual of OM47B68U.PDF. It looks like Toyota has taken functionality out of the top of the line screen software. Or the are behind schedule. Not the best way to showplace a new product. Are we looking for a new update???

 

Though I haven't done it yet myself, I was thinking it might be neat to have this.

I understand that the option is not there at the present time, does anyone know why? Typically when a software package is extended for a new top of the line option, you do not loose existing functionality. The 2017 Tacoma Limited we also have has similar software with those functions and does not have the video playback. The 11.6 "s software has had other limitations in the number of files, folders and file within a folder expanded, but lost the statrup and shutdown custom imaging capability, will it be in a later release?

 

One of the nice (unexpected) things about getting the 7" Plus trim (though you're right, it does seem strange that they didn't include that functionality in the 11.6 software)..
