Short answer: Toyota or any name brand synthetic of the correct grade changed at regular intervals.

How do you mean? The oil weight? What specifically does the manual say in Norway?

that's not a brand, just what they call they're products. just go down to the toyota dealer and get the oil weight that is listed on the fill cap. if you can't, you can use and brand. castrol, etc. not sure what you have in norway, just get the right weight, and not synthetic, unless you want it.

 

regular (dinosaur) comes out of the ground and is refined. synthetic is made in the lab. all newer cars use it, it's better, and you can go longer between changes, but costs more. some prefer to stay with regular, and some prefer to switch to syn. do you have an owners manual? europe is different than u.s. and may be synthetic for 2008.

Mobil 1 ESP 0w-30 is not really the best choice for Prius. Mobil 1 ESP oils are mostly designed for diesel engines (especially diesels with DPF). Mobil 1 ESP 0w-30 does only come with ACEA grades of C2, and C3, both of those only for diesel engines.

If you want to use Mobil 1 best choice would be Mobil 1™ Fuel Economy 0W-30 it has ACEA A1/B1 and A5/B5.

0w-30 oil with ACE A5/B5 is pretty much the best that you can use on gen 2 Prius with climate that has very cold winters and pretty warm summers.

I would just go for the cheaper 0w-30 with ACEA A5/B5. Mobil 1 is pretty expensive here.

 

Huh. Didn't even catch that it is ESP formula... Sorry about that. Strange that is the recommended oil.

In your country / climate I would use the oil that your local dealer uses.
It may or may not look like this:

You can perhaps buy some at the dealership for this oil change and then use whatever on-line shopping outlet that serves dot.no or a local parts house that sells automotive oil.
Since your car is almost 9 years old, CHECKING your oil is now even more important than changing it since you will want to start monitoring for oil use.
@valde3 's advice seems to be fairly logical since I would imagine (perhaps incorrectly!) that your climates and environments might be similar.

 

Our nearby dealership is hands down the cheapest and most convenient source of Toyota motor oil. If the dealership parts department prices are at least competitive, I would favour them, over online retailers with the entailed flurry of jet contrails and delivery trucks.

 

For a gen2 the manual says:
5W30 API and/or ILSAC is recommend
Most dealers in europe put 10W40 in it and thats a half-synthetic oil.
Just go for the full synthetic 5W30 oil
