Is the blue magnetism more blue or turqoise?

    Hi all, first post. We test drove a Prime Advanced last week and will definitely be getting one. This issue is that stock virtually non-existant in the Kansas City area, and I suppose midwest for that matter. I suppose that means we will have to order one.

    In person, we have seen white (driving on the highway with 30-day tags) and the titanium glow (test drive). We are leaning towards Hypersonic Red or Blue Magnetism, but.....having never seen one, and probably not able to see one without traveling 1000 miles, is the Blue Magnetism more of a blue, or more of a turquoise? A relative has a blue Yaris; is it like that?

    Google image search shows just about every shade of blue, including turquoise. My wife wants more of a turquoise than blue. Maybe it's just safer to order red.

    It's not the same blue as the Yaris (That's Blue Streak Metallic or Blazing Blue Metallic depending on year and it's a bright but solid blue. The Yaris also has Bayou Blue which has more green in it)

    Blue Magnetism is only available on the Prime and no other Toyota model. Best I can describe it is that it's pastel blue but I only saw it indoors. I haven't seen it out in the sun.

    Just like Hypersonic Red, Blue Magnetism does change shade depending on lighting conditions. Hypersonic Red ranges from bright red to deep red depending whether it's bright and sunny or overcast.

    @priuscatprimeguy has a Blue Magnetism. Maybe he can help.

    Does it have a glitter effect just as Magnetic Gray or Blizzard Pearl has in the sun ?

    I don't really know, it looks blue to me, had a C-Max pull up to me today, her's was a slightly deeper blue than mine.

    McGee Toyota of Dudley, MA provided these, which are the nicest "didn't do anything special" photos of the Blue Magnetism color I've been able to find so far:


    Hopefully, I'll hearing from my dealer this week about January inventory with one for me included. It's a long wait requiring a great deal of patience, but it totally looks worth it. That color looks really appealing, even under the basic lighting conditions like in those photos.

    Olathe Toyota had one last week. Supposedly it is sold (had a deposit on it), but has not been paid for yet, therefore they were test-driving it. The red one in Columbia, MO was sold Saturday. Funny thing is, on the way there on 435, saw a White one with 30 day tags from Molle Toyota; tags expire 1/4/17.

    The Olathe dealer said probably won't have any until June or July.

    OK thanks for the photos. Wife will probably go with red as she wanted more turquoise.

    Now just the process of finding one. May have to wait 6 months for more inventory as the dealers may not want to budge on the price.

    I really do like the leg room. I'm 6'5", and even with the driver seat all the way back, I had leg room in the back seat (though no head room). The Chevy Volt was horrible for leg room. My 8 year old could sit behind me when driving; probably 3", not exaggerating.

    Dang, I saw online that Columbia had one but did not believe it because Columbia is so small. Seems like a few dealerships are getting ONE and that is it for a # of months after that. Strange way to introduce a car.

    Yes, that combo looks nice. But I fear reflections off the light color on the windshield could be distracting while driving. Any moonstone interior owners can comment on reflections?

    It's definitely more "Teal" (in my opinion) like the stock images on Toyota's website.

    I had a similar concern; I loved the teal look of the stock photos but looking at images online, it looked almost sky blue and I didn't like that at all.

    I've already ordered mine, should arrive next month (Been waiting since april) but someone at work received theirs 2-3 weeks ago and you can spot it immediately in the parking lot. It's definitely more teal than anything. I stare at it every day when I walk by.

    The guy I know at work says it's not been an issue for him at all. He has the Moonstone interior.
