Prius 2011 monitor black after interior detailing

    Took my 2011 Prius to dealership for airbag recall. I was offered interior detailing and accepted. Now the monitor is black yet the radio works and buttons can be used if you remember where they are. Toyota dealership denies wrong doing and insists detailing would not cause the problem. Unable to use back up camera. Now being told the car will have to be sent out for fixing because they do not do it. Can cost over 3,000. Help!!

    This has happened before when liquid has been sprayed on the screen and gets into the electronics.

    Toyota dealership, after they did the detailing, says it is a coincidence and detailing had nothing t o do with it. How do I convince them it was the detailing that caused the monitor to go black

    Tell them you're going to check directly with Toyota corporate.

    My 2011 unit has the same problem. Backlight is dead, touch doesnt work but with an LED I can see the screen. Waiting for a part to come in from china to attempt fixing it. I'll keep you posted on the fix. The part costs 72$ for the new screen driver board.
