prius c turn key to on not ready hit gas pedal 2 time in park 2 times in neutral 2 times in park turn key to ready then you will see Maintenance mode on the display traction controll will be disable
The purpose of Maintenance mode are: Inspection of ignition timing etc. when performing engine maintenance, idle speed exhaust emissions testing (CO, HC), etc. Tests using a speedometer tester, two-wheel chassis dynamometer, etc. It keeps the engine idling when park (P) is selected and also cancels traction control. Test items in Maintenance mode depending on [Shift State] are: Vehicle straight travelling test (side slip inspection) - [D] Braking force test - [N] Speedometer test - [D] Exhaust gas test (idling) - [P] Headlight test - [P] Caution: You should cancel Maintenance mode immediately after completion of inspection. Driving the vehicle without canceling Maintenance mode may damage the transaxle. Do not perform rapid starting or quick acceleration on a speedometer tester. If rapid starting or quick acceleration is performed on a speedometer tester, damage may occur to the transaxle. Vincent
If it has any DTC related to the hybrid control ECU it WILL NOT ENTER Maintenance Mode. You will have to clear the code first to enable maintenance mode You may also have to use a Toyota Techstream to talk to the Hybrid control ECU
