I drive my new Prius Prime in Southern California mostly on surface streets occasionally on the freeway. Under these crowded traffic conditions, I'm able to get over 35 miles of range on my electric only plugin. The car will charge completely in under 2 hours. Due to traffic constraints, my average speed in town is about 40 miles per hour and my freeway average speed is between 55 and 65 miles an hour. My first fill up for this car was exactly 10 gallons, at 1238 miles. Compared to my 2012 Prius Plug-In, this car is absolutely fantastic. Posted via the PriusChat mobile app.

I drive in so cal as well, but mostly freeway driving from the Southbay to Burbank. about 31 miles give or take. Maybe I should start driving straight through the city to see what my electric mileage is. Currently I get about 23 electric (pun intended there.. ) I filled up after the first week but it's been 4 weeks since then and I still have about a 1/4 tank left and close to 1,300 miles on this tank of gas. I charge twice a day. I am pretty sure that I won't need to fill up for another week.
