Well, I did see my first Prius Prime anywhere here in 808 State of Hawaii. Brand new, still with Dealer plates! It was at a charging station at a shopping mall. Am seeing more Gen 4s driving around. stt
I wonder how long it will take here in Minnesota. Hopefully, I'll be getting mine next week. But being among the first means someone will end up spotting me.
To all future Prime Owners, If it performs at or over the Gen. 4s, you will be really happy! Love our Gen 4! The Prime is a looker, so much so in person! Love the front stance, the multi-bulb headlights. stt
I guess people are interested in seeing the new Primes. I got mine on few days ago. I'm pretty happy with most things about it. It's Magnetic Blue - not for those wanting a low profile but it's gotten a lot of positive comments! I drove it to a party about 100 miles round trip and got over 98 mpge..I'll post a video of driving it out of the showroom. Couldn't get the video to post so here is a snap
Saw my first Prime (silver, same as mine) in NJ. Exiting GSP to Rt. 70 East today about 4:10 PM. Just want to say if you're a member.
That's the same color I ordered, it looks *good*! Heaven only knows when I'll get it though. You don't see them in the wild here and they're only special order. (and as far as I know, the only one to order one from my dealer.)
How much time approximatively do you have to wait when you order a Prius Prime in the USA before delivery? My Canada dealer say it will be minimum 6 months here.
My dealer says a minimum of 120 days, and no maximum at all. It very much matters where in the USA you are talking about unfortunately, and my state isn't one of the places that really concerns itself with gas mileage or smog, so there's no external pressure on Toyota to sell them here. Normal Priuses are getting fairly common, but nowhere near what you'd see in California or Washington.
I was told 6-8 months - maybe a little faster if I was very flexible on color. I ordered mine January 2nd but got a call from the dealer earlier than expected; it is supposed to be here in about 5-6 weeks. So a total of *only* 4-5 months.
Saw my first Prime in person yesterday, but only a quick glance as it passed through the intersection. Mag Blue. Looked more teal (greenish) than blue, but it was only a quick glance. I'm in C'ville, VA, BTW.
I saw my first Prime "in the wild" yesterday on the way home from work. It's the first one I've seen in Colorado except the two I test drove. It had the full array of vertical white LEDs on during the day, so I'm thinking that means it was an Advanced. It was the dark gray color.
