It is important that we use www.fueleconomy.gov to document our mileage, the "My MPG" log: The last tank tested the use of CHARGE mode when running the tank dry. Bob Wilson
Yes it will help for longer storage, less water build up. Better for the engine. Also when fueling up use a gas station that meets Top Tier standards engine cleaning detergent additives. Non Top Tier gasoline causes 19 times more deposit then top gear brands after 4000 miles. Such carbon deposits are known to reduce fuel economy and will have a negative impact, particularly on newer vehicles. To find top tier gasoline stations go to 404 - Page Not Found | TopTier Palletizers Posted via the PriusChat mobile app.
i'm just starting a new tank, not sure of the miles. i'll check later and fill in. at 11.4 miles estimate, i'm getting engine warmup on some of my regular trips.
Most efficient tank - 766.9 miles/8.47 gallons = 90.5mpg. This is also the most miles I've driven on a single tank. I tend to fill up at the 1/4 tank mark. Love this car, I've had it for just over a month (11/9). 55 mile one way commute plus possibly losing the fed tax credit made me pull the trigger sooner than I wanted but it's a great car.
well, so far I've travelled 11,635.0 miles. And spent $439.72 total on gas and electricity ($15.00/ mo as per landlord agreement) so 11,635.0 miles/ $439.72 = $26.46 average cost. going further if you take 8 gallons of gas, divide that by $26.46 you get $3.3075 per gallon.
