The OP (Coast Cruiser) was banished from Prius Chat several months ago. I believe he still looks in as a guest, but is no longer able to post here. Unless he has an alter ego......
Ha ha! I believe he broke the house rule by dissing vehicle manufacturers repeatedly in his posts, but the offending chats have been removed by the Mods.
Not quite. He was quite a prolific poster in his day and certainly opinionated. But not all his posts were deleted, just the latter few. We had some good times with him and he was sort of missed.
i thought he kept bringing politics into regular threads, and the mods kept deleting them. he wrote a goodbye, and left on his own, iirc, not sure. he was a good guy, and just happy go lucky, although a tendency toward the negative.
I have to see the dealer about a tag issue In a few minutes, I'll ask about the price and report back.
Sorry, I forgot to report that there's nothing to report. The sales guy has no idea of cost and the parts department is closed for the holiday. I should be able to find out tomorrow.
I miss CC! He was one of my favorite members, although he kept threatening us iirc that he was gonna buy an F-150 because he kept complaining about his Prius. I think he thought there were too many Do-Hickies and Thing-a-majigies
Just after he left I found this, buried stealth rule. 'Bashing' or 'Flaming' : A quick note about bashing or flaming - blatant off topic bashing of any car type, manufacturer, etc will not be tolerated here on Priuschat outside of the Off Topic forum. This is the Off Topic area which means that you are free to discuss just about anything you want - so please keep any bashing, flaming, or soapbox rants to this OT forum. However, try to make it a discussion not just a bash session. [added my underlined italics] From Off Topic Guidelines | PriusChat BTW, there is a fairly new, calm member that may be him. CoastRider. Not sure, though.
Sorry to take so long, I decided to wait until we went in to pick up the car so I could ask the parts guy in person. It turns out there's no "kit". He said he can order a steel wheel to fit my Prius C, for $148. He recommended I buy a cheap tire for it elsewhere. Then he said he thinks there are enough of these cars on the road to make it worth trying a few salvage yards. I guess it's a good thing I have a plug kit and a AAA membership.
