Hey, im just wondering, does it exist any kind of switch that can sit in between a positive cable and turn it on when it receives some sort of voltage? like.. i have added some buttons to my car (parking sensor and front camera) but they r connected directly to the battery, which means they r always on, and it would be great if it existed any sort of switch that i can add in the cable that turns on and off the voltage from the battery to the buttons ive added. Like, it could for example be connected to the rear lights, so anytime the rearlights turn on the buttons turn on. For example.. kind a hard to explain, ill leave a pic down here to to what i mean.
A little module made by InPower and called the VCM-06 has been discussed here before and might do nicely for your purpose. -Chap
A regular relay can also be used to switch power to any accessory. The relay coil is wired to a wire or fuse that is only powered when in Ready mode, no voltage sensing circuit necessary.
Wire in a relay to a 12v supply that turns on with the key. Be sure to use a fuse from the main power input.
yea, thanks dude, i have already done some haha, for my front camera and parking sensors and stuff, ill leave the diagram down here so u can see what i did.
