welcome! maybe the tires, 12v, rubbing brakes, stuck emergency brake, clogged air filter, low oil and etc. but you can test the hybrid battery with tech stream.
Big change in air conditioner use? It takes quite a toll when it gets over 90 degrees or so, especially if you have to park in the sun. It's not impossible, but it seems unlikely that a 2013 would need a new battery this soon.
Air filter was indeed changed today. Tires are almost ready to be changed and it is 100 here and I run ac often
i love the michelin energy saver a/s, but they are expensive, and may not fit gen 2. ecopia's are good i think. there are lots of tyre threads here with good advise.
The heat will take a toll.......and make the HV battery a bit less efficient.....but likely won't do any permanent damage. You should still be under hybrid warranty so wait until the weather cools off a bit. Or take it in if it is due for other service.
i've heard of kumho's but don't know anything about them. check tyre rack for reviews. i do like the 68 cent off special!
I went ahead and got hankooks that were recommended to me at the tire shop. Saved about 100 bucks by buying them online and knowing someone who will install for free. Posted via the PriusChat mobile app.
