I'm getting the triangle with the VSC light coming on while driving. The car still runs fine but if I shut it off, then it won't go into ready mode. It'll stay in "accessory" (or whatever that in between mode is called...limbo?). I have a wifi OBD that I plug in and get a bunch of incomplete codes on the DashCmd app (which seems kinda useless), but it does allow me to clear the codes. After I clear them, the car starts up and runs fine, sometimes for days, then the triangle comes back on. I took it to Advanced Auto Parts to get scanned while the triangle was up. The codes they read were: C1241 - Low Battery Positive Voltage: C1256 - ABS Inlet Valve Coil RR Circuit Short To Battery C1310 - Malfunction in HV System On top of all that, the brake actuator is making that "rattling" noise very often even after the car is off. Also, I've tested the 12V battery and it's fine. Thoughts?... Bad brake actuator? Hybrid Battery? Bad ECU?
Don't remember exactly, but it was on the higher end of 13V. It's an optima I replaced about 4 years ago.
...of course that was at the auto parts store that it was tested. I just tested it and it was about 12.14, then 13.4 running, then 12.8 after I turned it off.
The one start and done condition is caused by a high voltage leak. The codes for that are a P3009 or a P0AA6. The code reader at Advanced Auto is not reading all the codes. Contact Steve at Phoenix Hybrid Batteries. He can read the codes and fix the leaks. The likely sources for the leak are the HV battery, transmission, or AC compressor. Brad
Thanks strawbrad! I actually talked to Steve yesterday and he pretty much said the same thing. I'm meeting up with him tomorrow so he can test it.
Hopefully the codes will be there when you meet up with Steve. No one can read codes that are not there! The trick will be to get the codes to light upon the way to being tested. Brad

Does "The Primary Coverage offers warranty enhancement until December 31,2017, regardless of mileage. After the Primary Coverage ends, the Secondary Coverage is applicable for 10 years from the date of first use, or 150,000 miles, whichever occurs first" mean that secondary coverage is also free replacement ten years *from 2017,* or 150,000 miles, wof? ...cause that's literally what it states...
It doesn't say that at all, literally or figuratively. Secondary coverage is from 10 years of car's first use, or 150,000 miles, whichever occurs first.
