If that's going to be the solution, I'd rather they do it at the dealership because I still need a plate to drive there. It's a metal holder designating my collegiate alma mater that my wife claims I paid too much for, primarily because she went to a competing school.
Just finished trying that, thanks. First with a wooden wedge under the plate, trying to not scratch up the paint. Then with a tiny-yet-forceful pry-bar between the plate and the holder. I can't get under the screw directly.
Had I started this endeavor last week, yes. But I don't necessarily have the tools or gumption to take it on between now and tomorrow morning. [Edit] There were other important things like watching the eclipse and then taking the rest of the week for a vacation.
