What is causing this? Are there any reputable Toyota service departments in Union County New Jersey, USA? Why does Autozone engine code checker unable to pick up any problem codes on my car? If anyone has any experience with this, please let me know. Thank you!
Autozone's checker cannot pick up Toyota's Prius-specific codes. The dealer scanner software can do that. If you post the codes from the dealer, users here can help guide you further.
Local dealer is charging 130 to check the codes. It seems more than a bit excessive. Is that the going rate. Is there a dealer near me wo does not charge
Look for area hybrid specialists; usually cheaper. You can also get your own to use with a smartphone for just a few bucks but that will take a few days shipping. I don't use those so I'll let others recommend specifics.

Everybody on the forum like the Techstream laptop software I think they may be in New Jersey For the United States: Call (800) 228-7667 Email [email protected]. iPhone ?
Your 12volt battery appears to be working well as it is successfully started your hybrid system and reported trouble. It is not your primary problem. iPhone ?
Well, one of the images above showed a C1259. That is nothing but a code stored in the braking computer to note that it has been told of some problem by the hybrid-vehicle computer. You don't get the rest of the story without querying for the exact codes stored in the HV computer—and it watches out for many, many possible problems besides failing battery modules. If there were only one thing that every problem in a Prius ever turned out to be, the list of diagnostic codes would have one entry. -Chap
What we are trying to say is that without the trouble codes from the car telling what has failed, we are unable to intelligently assist further.
