(cross-post from the OBDII Apps forum, which seems to be dead.) Longtime Torque user, but new to the Prius G2 world. I just shoved my ELM327 adapter into the OBDII port, loaded Torque, and set up some screens. Worked great. Next start, Torque wouldn't connect to the ELM327 and I got a series of idiot lights. Then I dug around Prius Chat and found the thread about forcing the OBDII protocol to ISO 15765-4 CAN 11bit 500k baud - or else the ECU might freak out. That's clearly what happened. Fair enough. But in order to create a vehicle profile, and thus force a protocol, one must go to the home screen of Torque. Which I can't, for the life of me, find a way to get to! When I start the app, it goes immediately to the data screens. No start-up screen. I'm sure this is a dopey question, because Google couldn't answer, but how the heck do I get to the home screen??
There is an option in Torque Settings > General Preferences >Startup in dashboard The options are: - Do not start dashboard screen - Start in dashboard once - Always go to dashboard
Thanks, EricBecky, but that option does not exist for me. In General Preferences, I have: Show Tips Bluetooth bug warning Auto Rotate Engine displacement Vehicle weight Maximum RPM Snap to grid Confirm quit There is no "Startup in dashboard" option to choose from. Is it perhaps only in the Pro Version? I am using Torque Lite version 1,2,16 which is the latest I can find.
Your using the lite version. Those options only show in full version. The app on Android will show both so choose torque if so. SM-G935P ?
You guys are right. I thought I had the lite version on this old device. Guess it is the Pro. Not sure how much the Pro costs? $2? $15? $20? Whatever it was, it was worth it.
