Has anyone installed these yourself? How difficult was it? I was hoping to find an installation video, but no success.
The Aero Side Splitter is not to bad to install , the mounting plates march up to different nooks @ cramrys by the rocker panel .A 5/32 drill bit & revert gun is needed to install . I picked mine up at dealer to save on shipping ,looks nice Posted via the PriusChat mobile app.
I assume you raised your car to get better access to the bottom? Just making sure: Rivet gun (not revert), correct? Simple as this video? Thanks! Looks like a simple enough project.
When I bought my prime, some of the cars on the lot had those but they seemed a little too flimsy. Like I can really wiggle/move the whole thing (about half an inch) with one finger and almost felt like that the whole thing would come off once it meets a high enough speed bump. Some of the installed ones already had scrapes just by driven around the dealer lot. That or if one day, somebody's toe accidentally steps on them like a side step. Anyways, I wonder if the dealer just didn't install them right. How many rivet points are there across? I understand that there should be some amount of flex but how much flex do you guys have on yours?
Install made earlier I drove the prime on car ramps ,that gave me enough room to get the job done , Seens like three revert per pannel three mounting pannel per side , some on outside edge ,a couple backside of brackets Posted via the PriusChat mobile app.
