Around here, it's unusual to see a G2 Prius at the self-service junkyards. I think that Prius specialists snatch them up at auction for more money than junkyards are willing to pay. But I found a 2006 with a super-hard front hit. I like to have spare bits for modifying, so I can keep the originals and return to stock when I sell. I got: TPMS and SKS switches. (I don't know what I'll do with them, but there's a spare hole in that position and I might want them for something.) Console lid for reupholstering in vinyl, and keep the original one pretty. Cargo area light, so I can modify for LED Rear wiper grommet, for a DIY wiper delete. ...and I also found a stubby replacement antenna on a VW (uses same thread as Prius) Total was well south of $20.
I always grab as many 12v relays and fuses as I can carry, light bulbs & sockets etc., because they never charge for them because no one ever seems to want these parts Jacks, Owner's Guides and lug-wrenches are also great finds that can bring good $$$.
Nice find and even better pricing. I still think you must be a good negotiator! Send me a pm if you find any gen 3's in these junkyards.
