I just received my Feb. issue of Consumers Report and the Toyota Prius is rated at 89 in the Most and Least Satisfying Models. The highest is the Tesla Model S and the Porsche 911 at 92, the Chevrolette Corvette and Lincoln Continental are rated at 91, the ford F-350 and Mazda MX-5 Miata at 90 and the Prius is at 89. The Prius topped the list under Compact cars at 89 and the Kia Niro was next at 80.
...except the Prius is not a compact car. They always get something completely wrong. Still can't trust them.
I love my Prius, F350 and Corvette. Each generates their own, distinctly incredible amount of satisfaction.
There numbers come from owner satisfaction not Consumers Report. I have seen cars in this category before that people really liked but were prone to break down but people liked them anyway, go figure. It's your fault if you didn't fill out your survey when they sent it to you in the mail and mail it back, Oh, i'm sorry, that was me. lol
I had a hard time telling people my 2008 Prius was a mid size car. The class it falls into is determined by it's interior and trunk space. The 2008 Prius and the 2008 Camry had the same numbers but people wouldn't believe me. It's been many years since I saw the numbers, maybe I can still find them. I was wrong the Camry volume was 5 c.f. larger. 2008 Toyota Camry Specs: 4-Door Sedan I4 Automatic SE Dimensions 2008 Toyota Prius Specs: 5-Door HB Base Dimensions
They buy the cars they test, so I guess they own or owned one. Also they buy from dealers just like the rest of us.
Yes Consumers buys the new cars they test. The article was written by how satisfied owners are with their car. I have never returned one of their surveys so they didn't get 100 an it was my fault. Lol
