Please direct me to a website that offers replacement to a black, silver, or dark grey cover of this contrasting white gearshift cover (see attached photo) to a 2018 prius prime advanced.
Why not save money and just pop it off lightly sand it with tiny grit sandpaper to get rid of the glossy texture, tape off the buttons, then throw a layer of paint over it? I can tell you how to remove it. It's SUPER simple. I pulled it off to wrap it in black vinyl. Unscrew the blue shifter knob counter clockwise get one of those flat screwdrivers and press it between the white gearshift cover and the car(bottom just in case of scuffs and scratches) Slide the screwdriver all the way around the gearshifter cover to pop it off Pinch the two little harnesses to release the cover. putting it back on is the same but easier than taking it off. I have some pictures in this thread on removing it. Black Around Shifter | PriusChat If you would rather spend a bit more money just google "prius prime black shifter applique" and all the results of sellers show up. Goes for about $45.
Some have also used Plastidip or carbon fibr. I think Toyota makes an accessory to cover the shifter area. Toyota Prius Prime Shifter Applique - Black. Interior Applique. Pul, Look, Integrated - PT9484716102 - Genuine Toyota Accessory
I've only seen black offered to replace the white. As others have mentioned its a genuine Toyota part and can be found on Ebay readily for around $45 or so. I personally like the wraps I've been seeing like SaraBBrown94 did, much less expensive and looks sharp!
Yeah I bought vinyl for it now I have like 5x2 feet left over. Guess I over guessed my needed margin of error.
