I’ve recently purchased an 08 Prius fro the original owner. I also have a 2011 Forester and a 1985 4Runner. I was given 14 pages of maintenance documents when I bought it from the local Toyota dealership where she had it serviced. The only issues I’ve found is water under the 12v battery and cloudy headlights. I’ve been reading lots of great threads here to understand a bit more of how the Prius works, maintenance points etc. To clean up the headlights, I wet sanded using 400, 600 and then 2000 grit, used some isopropyl alcohol to clean off the lens and then used a UV/anti-yellowing based clear coat spray. 4 coats, let it sit 24 hours and some carnuba polish to help seal it. Heh, sounds like you’ve done some travelling in your life. I live in Comox, just one of the beautiful spots on the Island. As for Cole Harbour, you have picked one of my bucket list places to go. I moved here from Fort St. John which is up in northern B.C. on the Alaska highway.
I traditionally take the MV Coho right into downtown Victoria from Port Angeles as a walk on, but now my daughter lives in Bellingham WA and I should visit via the BC ferry into Schwartz Bay. I meant to last October but left my passport at home, my wife was not amused. Perhaps next year. (growing up, I got two Vancouver stations and a Victoria TV station, so I am somewhat familiar with the island, sadly mostly as it has to do with crime. Oddly, the only year I lived in Canada, it was in suburban Toronto)
