11.6 in screen (How to turn off music at the beginning)

    I know there is a thread about this somewhere but a friend who just got his Prime is asking me how to turn off the sound you get when the car is 1st turned on. His wife has an ear problem and it startles her. I know this has been addressed but I cannot find it. Thanks to whom ever can find this or tell me how so I can pass it along.

    Thanks Huskers, I read elsewhere that a dealer was going to charge?$85.00 to turn off the music.

    Sounds like their hourly rate at the minimum 30 minutes.

    Some things require them to plug in an OBD-2 adapter and click a box in an application. These are what cost $85. Fortunately turning off the startup music is not one of them.

    Good to know. I've had the dealer disable the back up beep N/C (so far) on my earlier Prii

    It really depends on the dealership. Sometimes, they'll do it for free. Others may charge you.
