Yes, it appears as though you may be confusing terms. Around here, we refer to generations of Prius with the shorthand "Gen". I suspect you have a 2014 Prius 2. In this case, the numeral 2 refers to the trim level and/or options package (same thing, two different terms). As Tideland pointed out, you should be in the 3rd Gen Prius forum, which covers all 2010-2015 models (aside from Plug-In), in all trim levels.
