    First sighting (in 1054) of supernova that became Crab Nebula. Visible in daytime for 23 days. Big fireworks at a safe 6500 light year distance.

    I'm a little late with this....but Happy Independence Day to ALL.
    I hope everybody had a Happy and SAFE holiday!!

    I had to work but enjoyed an all-American gourmet dinner afterwards (Vegan hot dogs, potato salad, chips, and cookies made by grand babies....)
