i doubt strapping down the battery does anything except keep it from getting damaged, as long as all the connections are tight.

because there's about a good 2 in around the battery for it to move around and shift if the the bracket and strap isn't holding it in Posted via the PriusChat mobile app.
that is what i meant, damage to the battery from moving around and bouncing over bumps. if the connections are tight, it wouldn't affect anything else. yes, you can drive the car without a working mid, you just don't get the info feedback.

if you found something loose, that could wiggle from battery movement, that could cause problems. let's see how she does with the correct tray.
