I've had and driven the car for nearly 10k Went on another 900 mile road trio they other day, decided to check the air in the tires They were essentially cold, but they were a few psi bigger than I'd like them to be (don't recall offhand, but fr 2psi higher, as they should be) anyway going on about my road trip, and about 300 miles in the tire pressure light goes off on the dash. Check them all, they're all where they were earlier, in relation to one another, with one of them .5 PSI higher. Anyway...more The TPMS light is always on...I have reset it 2x now, it came, and now it is just on 95° out 41 41 39 39.5 This is still lower than when I first checked last week Bad sensor on one of the wheels? Is it all just coincidental timing? Posted via the PriusChat mobile app.
Plug in Techstream and look at the data. It will show you what pressure, temperature, and battery life it is reading in each of the four tires, plus codes for any problems noted. That should give you plenty to see what the trouble is. -Chap
Cool...I wasn't sure how the TPMS worked in these cars... As you know, some cars use the ABS reluctor/etc, and sense the rotational difference. While some actually measure psi Posted via the PriusChat mobile app.
Also, when signed in to techinfo.toyota.com, there is a manual available there called the New Car Features manual, which is just the thing if you are a new Prius owner and curious about the various systems in the car, what they're for, what they do, and how they do it. -Chap
