Will try these on my 2011 for a long term test drive. The EP 20's lasted around 60K and look cracked in the treads and grooves. My daughter is very hard on tires. Any way they have a 5 star rating most places so we will see. Big sale sat at Sams. Having Bridgestone withdrawals really bad. Almost the shakes. MIB BTW.
That's amazing. OEM EP20 on my previous Gen3 lasted only ~20K. Changed to EP422Plus with 70K tread warranty, but no way, they are going to last past 40K, it seems. I am done with BS tires. I am interested in what you find out on Pirelli P4. The reviews are good, and I also find them on sale frequently.
Update! Tires are very nice and so far get the same MPG or better than the 20's with her driving habits (jack rabbit driver). I found out why the 20's were trashed as the dealer had been letting out the air at each oil change (every 6K or less) and all of them were at 24PSI (light came on). I was curious why they were all cracked in the groves and treads so obviously they were underinflated and overheated. The Sam's club tires are awesome and had $140 on that one Saturday special. Long term use we will see, but no bumps, leaks, or wobbles so far. Reminds me to update my Gen 4 tire thread.
As soon as I leave the dealer, I go to the nearest gas station and check the psi / reinflate the tires. I usually find them to be at 32 or 33. Factory specs are 36/35. I always wonder why those guys don't just simply look at the sticker on the door, and get the proper inflation number. Anyway, I bump it up to 40.
