When I ordered my 2018 Prius Prime Advanced I wanted the 15" Alloy Wheels and was told it was not orderable in the system. I thought that was strange as the toyota.com did show the option. I did not press the point but now I wonder why I could not order the $1K option? Has anyone in the Midwest successfully had their 2018 Prius Prime outfitted with the 15" Alloy Wheels as a Port Installed (not Dealer installed) option? Thanks. J
When I got my 17 they were an order from factory only part. If you remove the hubcaps, there’s a perfectly respectable set of alloy wheels underneath, you just need the center caps from a yarris to cover the hole, they are also very light in weight.
Do you mean to pay $1K extra to have them swap the rims from OEM rims and cover? If you do that, would you receive OEM rims and covers with your car? I would just order the rims from any Toyota dealer and swap tires and TPMS on them. You could use extra OEM rims for your winter tires then.
