Guys I live in Florida (homestead) and it gets HOT here, is there any way i can extend my HV battery life? heat is killer how can i keep it cool in a hot environment?
use the a/c on high and recirculate when driving park in the shade when possible get full tint keep the cooling fan and intake grille clean install a prolong charger
Park in an air conditioned garage and always keep the air at a low setting to make sure cold cabin air cools the traction during use.
Yeah, i already have 5% tint, i am on my second hv battery that i had to replace when the car had 123k miles, now the car has 142k miles on it.
Park out of the sun/ sun shades. One long trip is cooler than many short trips. Do not let it sit idle longer than a month. If you were not in Florida: Use B mode on long down hills to slow battery charging.
