My question is when the traction battery electric fan starts blowing in cool air from the cabin where does it get exhausted to?
it goes to the hybrid battery case, then exhausts out of the car. maybe location of the c exhaust is different.
I've wondered about this myself. I can't seem to find any diagram, video, print etc. Not that I needed to know for anything, but it was / is a curiosity.
I recall someone on here a few years back had pictures with the interior out. It showed that the exhaust vents to the trunk area of the car, not outside the car. But I could be misremembering.
pulled the back seat out, also it hit me when i had to replace the HV battery a while back i took out all the air channel to remove the battery.
Good point. Assuming the system is similar to regular Prius, air is sucked in by the rear seats, run through the battery, then exits on the side walls in the hatch area. The exits are flaps, hidden on the outside, behind the rear bumper. I'm thinking that grill is similar function, but yeah, the arrow direction is not jiving, lol. Maybe the graphic was done on a hung-over Monday? It's the one element in the picture that, while it appears to be part of the process, it has no label.
