Does anyone know how to go about figuring out where a bit of information resides in my Prius' computer? I'd like to figure out the Scangauge Xgauge parameters (PID) for my cruise control's setpoint. Sometimes as I'm entering or leaving one MPH limit area for another I click my cruise control lever up or down but would like to know when I have hit my desired speed setpoint.
What you're looking for is called "CCS Mem Vehicle Spd". You can try below Xgauge which should be similar to my Prius c: Xgauge TXD RXF RXD MTH NAM Notes 1 CCS Mem Vehicle Spd 07E22121 02EA04610521 3008 3D09623A0000 CMS mph Vincent
Thanks!!! I tried this Xgauge and it worked, sort of. It seems to show the cruise setpoint. It starts at zero, then changes to the cruise setpoint once I turn on the cruise control and set a setpoint. The only problem is it's shows 2 MPH below what the cruise is actually controlling the car's speed to. I tried changing the last digit in the MTH field to a 2 and now it matches the speed the car is controlled at. The only minor gotcha is that until I set the cruise's setpoint this Xgauge reads 2 instead of zero. Would you know how to fix that? If not I can live with it as it is.
Are you comparing to the speedometer? If yes, many others have reported that their speedometer is higher by 2 mph. Vincent
How stupid!!! The speedometer is accurate compared to my GPS and various roadside radar speed signs I pass. I guess I'll live with the "2". Thanks for your help, knowledge and input on this.
