Hello, just bought an Advanced Prius Prime a month ago and have noticed that when I plug my iPhone X via USB it sometimes connects and sometimes doesn’t. I at first that it was the cord, but have tested multiple cords and it seems to be the USB port that might be faulty. Anyone have the same issue and are there possible fixes? Lol or am I just using the USB port wrong if that’s even possible? Thanks!
Maybe try buying a new cable and trying it out! The cables that you have tried might have been used out.
If you could try plugging another device into the port... Maybe something not as new as an iPhone X or even an android device.
I know exactly the issue. The terrible Toyota radio is eating through our iphone chords. New chords will last about 2-3 months before this issue happen again. Stupid design and they can't fix it...
Is this iphone specific problem? I have not had any problem connecting with ipod and any other usb thumb drives to PRIME USB port for music playing. I have not connected my android phone or windows phone to USB though. I think USB port is not meant to be used for phone charging, but this thread seems to have mention use of Anker PowerLine+ cable solved that specific problem on iphone.
