Alright so last night I pulled and cleaned the DS O2 sensor. I ordered this before I found this page : Panlong Bluetooth OBD2 OBDII Car... To use in conjunction with the "DR. Prius" app....was this a waste of money? Can I screw up my car by using it to view and clear codes?
I'd second that; the search function within PriusChat is not as good, and it's buggy: first search will often yield nothing, and a repeat of the same phrase works, but not that well. Just search with Google for "priuschat...".
Car stalled out this morning and gave me the RToD. After a few minutes it started back up. With the light still on. It's currently throwing a POA08 code. No idea where or how to start. I found a thread talking about "P0A80" reversed 8 and 0....and it was talking about a full HV battery replacement.
My list of codes shows P0A08 as "DC/DC Converter Status Circuit", which is a component of the inverter. At this point, you may want to perform the self-test shown in the following video: You should see about 14.4V on the auxiliary battery with the Ignition On. If you see something other than that, that would confirm that you have a problem with the DC/DC Converter, which unfortunately means you need a new (or used) inverter.
If the 12.6 volts is after sitting over night before you ever put it in Ready, that is a healthy battery. If it jumps by a volt or more when it goes in Ready, the DC to DC converter is acting right.
