Hi! My name is Mike. I am happy to have found fellow like-minded prii owners. This place is amazing! Car history: I purchased my '13 prius III in 2013 with three miles on the odo. Currently, Pria has 87xxx mi on her; mostly road trip miles from Texas to Colorado x2, Grand Canyon x2, and Kentucky last year. It wasn't until last year, with 70xxx mi, on my Kentucky trip that I noticed she was burning oil. I check my oil at every gas fill-up religiously, thankfully. There was a small dollop of oil on the tip of stick! Since discovering the issues that plague this engine, I have taken a proactive role in ensuring (hoping) Pria dies old, like her predecessors do. (My gf has the gen2, which I convinced her to get ). She's at 177xxx. I've since Cleaned the egr system, MAF sensor, intake manifold and throttle body. I've also drained/filled the cvt oil and, just recently, installed a rear sway (which I love immensely!). I plan on swapping out the plugs early, installing more suspension mods, specifically a strut tower bar (though I don't know the difference between the four Cusco offers) and possibly more chassis upgrades. I have a set of Michelin energy saver plus' coming in today and I can't wait to get them on! Anywho, that's me and my Prii! I look forward to interacting with you guys! Cheers!
