You can do as @Ragingfit did, and use the metal pipe to adapt the lower hose, and lengthen the one sensor harness. Or you can do as I did. Disassemble both the Gen 3 and 4 heads, and use the Gen 4 valves, springs, etc to rebuild the Gen 3 head. Six to 1, half a dozen to the other. Mine is very close to 10k miles and has not used a drop of oil or coolant. I’m very pleased with the result.
I did ours about a month ago. Not really a big deal. @Ragingfit has a video series on Youtube under fix that Prius on the swap. @cnc97 led the way with the first one. I used a donor from a wrecked 2017 with 5,810 miles.
@Randycoureton i used a 1-1/4 coolant line from advance auto because i couldnt find metal pipe in that size. And i used this adapter for the two hoses to connect.
This was today’s excursion to check the underside of the throttle body. I did drive 2500-2800 miles after install before I put the catch can back on. Just a light oily film that wiped clean with a single shop towel. Still no oil usage and no coolant loss.
