I have a 2012 Prius v and the radio has been giving issues off and on for about a year now. A couple of weeks ago it pretty much decided not to work. The odd thing is all the buttons on the left, don't work but the ones on the right do. The bluetooth and USB have stopped working. Has anyone else had this issue and was able to get it fixed or do I have to bite the bullet and replace the radio. Thanks, Mary M.
My guess is that the radio needs to be replaced. BUT......does that model by any chance have a removable faceplate ?? If so, it might be loose.
No on the cleaning solution, I'm very careful when cleaning the dash using a dry cloth. Faceplate is part of the radio from what I can see. I was hoping someone might have a quick fix but I guess I'm going to be radio shopping. Any suggestions that are not too expensive? Thanks, Mary M.
Does the "radio" also serve as a display for other functions ? Like climate control or GPS or hybrid system displays ?? If it does, then a used one from a salvage yard might be the best bet. If it is just a stand alone radio, the I suggest checking with some custom car audio shops. Just be sure that what they try to sell you doesn't have controls that are unnecessarily complex and confusing. Many of the recent ones are.
