djc! Welcome to PriusChat! Out of curiosity, did they say whether you would be getting an 04? I spoke with a salesman at Libertyville a few days ago. He claimed they have around 50 on their list and that they've been telling those interested in ordering to expect at least an 8 month wait and an 05 Prius.
My dealer said it would be "unlikely" that I would get an '04. Honestly, that's fine. The geek in me would love to have the car now, and start working on a few mods, but I can wait for an '05. The risk, of course, is that the price is likely to go up. I only hope that a few quirks are worked out in the '05 model in exchange for any price increase. I'd love to see the gas tank issue resolved, better exterior/interior color choices, and improvements to the NAV system. I know better than to hope for a sunroof option, but that would really rock. --Dan.
Ha ha! I'm glad yours is on its way, too! I completed the transaction tonight in about 40 minutes, without a bit of hassle. Everything was set to go, and the prepwork seems to have been done with care. 3 miles on the odomether, though. Where did they drive that thing!? (just kidding!)
