This gentleman's knowledge of the 2d and 3rd Gen Prius is pretty accurate. But wow, he's rather harsh on the 4th Gen Prius cosmetics. Although some of his 4th Gen criticisms are valid, he lost my respect when he failed to recognize the 4th Gen in the video as the Prime.
That is pretty funny. Complaining about the 4th generation exterior style while looking at a different vehicle. That doesn't do much for his credibility on Prius matters.
I watched that earlier. He does know that it is the Prime. He talks about the differences in the front between the Prime and the hybrid starting at 11:18.
I was actually impressed with his technical knowledge about Gen 2 and 3. Was looking forward to similar 4th Gen comments, but alas all we got was great reliability and efficiency - I'll take those two. His demonstration of the 4th Gen high beam "square" was interesting.
And those aren't quite accurate. He talks about the LED's on the accent lights, but those are really a difference between the Advanced and lower trim models of the Prime. The whole front of a Prime is different, including the "Gen 4" headlights with the square pattern, that are not actually "Gen 4" headlights but Prime headlights, a completely different design.
Also talks about how the hybrid's center MFD is different from the Prime at 13:51. He clearly knows the difference between the two, he's just talking about them together, just like he did for the Gen 3 hybrid and plug in (the plug in is shown).
Watch that again. He doesn't say anything wrong. His point is about how vulnerable and costly it would be if the front corners tapped into anything - and that goes for the Prime in front of him as well as the hybrid that he describes (verbally only) as similarly vulnerable.
